Interactive Blog - Feel free to chime in! > New Song Additions

Okay, so here's some of the new songs we're doing for Mission Creek (unplugged).

Heart of Gold - Neil Young, I'm Yours - Jason Mraz, You Got the Silver - Rolling Stones, I've Just Seen a Face, Two Of Us, & We Can Work It Out - The Beatles, Lost My Drivin' Wheel - David Whiffen, Appalachian Mountain Range, Pamela Brown.

Excited to give these a run. Can you have too many Beatles songs? I thought it might be kind of interesting to do an entire album side from Rubber Soul or something.

For Mission River Band, the new ones are Get Ready - Rare Earth/Temptations, Gimme' Sove Lovin' - Spencer Davis Group, Birthday - Beatles.

Wish list (for me anyways) - David Bowie (maybe Suffragette City), John Hiatt, REO Speedwagon, Steely Dan.

Anyone else have any ideas for songs that we could pull off, or artists you'd like to hear?

Jim; What about Steely Dan's 'Rikki don't lose that number,' and John Hiatt's 'When My love crosses over.'

I like both of those ideas. For Steely Dan, that song is really their signature piece. I think it would be a do-able challenge - won't be able to replicate some of the nuances (pan flute?, chimes unless we do on the keys). Hiatt would be fun to do and might be easier.
